Prof. Manuel Riguera

Prof. Riguera is the review director of Jurists Bar Review Center where he is also a lecturer and bar exam coach. He is also a professorial lecturer at the University of Asia and the Pacific Institute of Law where he teaches remedial law review. Apart from being a lecturer in the academe, Atty. Riguera is also a partner at the Riguera & Riguera Law Office and a former commissioner of the Legal Education Board. He obtained his law degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law and his BS commerce degree from San Beda College.

Atty. Hilarion B. Buban

Atty. Buban is a private law practitioner that formerly served as the National Executive Director for Operations of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in 2017 and currently serves as one of the Deputy Directors of IBP Commission on Bar Discipline since 2022. In the academe, he is also a professor of law at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Aurora State College of Technology College of Law; a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Lecturer in Remedial Law, Public International Law and Legal Ethics; and one of the lecturers of the IBP on the new Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability (CPRA).

Atty. Judy A. Lardizabal

Atty. Lardizabal ranked No. 1 in the 2008 Bar Examinations. Since then, she has become a private law practitioner, a former Investigating Commissioner of the IBP Commission on Bar Discipline last 2017 to 2018, and is currently one of the Investigating Commissioners of the IBP Commission on Bar Discipline that were appointed by the Supreme Court last September 8, 2023, after the effectivity of the new Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability (CPRA).

In the field of academe, Atty. Lardizabal is a professor of law at the University of the East-Manila, San Sebastian College Recoletos, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Aurora State College of Technology College of Law and Polytechnic University of the Philippines where she is also the current President of the PUP College of Law Faculty Association. She is also a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Lecturer in Civil Law, as well as a Bar Review Lecturer at various bar review centers, including Jurists Bar Review Center. Lastly, she is also the author of a book on Bar Methods and Techniques.

Dean Viviana Martin Paguirigan

Dean Paguirigan has over three decades of experience in the academe. She started her teaching career in April 1994 after being admitted to the bar in the same year.  She worked at the Supreme Court as Court Attorney after her stint in private practice. Later, she joined the prosecution arm of the government at the Department of Justice where she served as State Prosecutor.  Her love for the academe never waned and after serving the government for almost a decade, she returned to her Alma Mater as the Associate Dean of Far Eastern University Institute of Law.  She was also actively involved in the bar review as lecturer in Civil Law in various review centers among which are the Jurists Bar Review Center, Legal Edge Bar Review, Academicus Bar Review, and University of Santo Tomas.

In 2018, she was appointed Dean of the College of Law of the University of the East (UE). She served as the Secretary-General of the Philippine Association of Law Schools and is currently the Treasurer of the Association.  She is also a member of the University of the Philippines Panel of Experts in Civil Law, that provide answers to the bar examinations in Civil Law from 2013 up to 2022, and was the Chairperson of the Panel in the 2020-2021 Bar Examinations.

Dean Voltaire T. Duano, LL.M.

Dean Voltaire T. Duano, LL.M., is a distinguished legal educator, author, and practitioner with an exemplary academic and professional background. He currently serves as the Inaugural Dean of the Cainta Catholic College,  School of Law, the Diocesan College of the Diocese of Antipolo. Dean Duano earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.), graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2014, and his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), graduating as Valedictorian in 1993, both from San Sebastian College–Recoletos. 

An Accredited Voluntary Arbitrator with the Department of Labor and Employment – National Conciliation and Mediation Board (DOLE-NCMB), Dean Duano is highly regarded for his expertise in labor law and legal education. He is a sought-after lecturer and bar review instructor, teaching at premier institutions. He has also delivered lectures at top bar review centers including the Jurists Review Center, UP Law Center, PUP Review Center, Academicus Review Center,  and Villasis Law Center. As a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) lecturer, he continues to mentor and guide legal professionals.

Atty. Marvin P. Cañero

Atty. Cañero is an attorney-at-law and a certified public accountant. He is a professor of law in various schools and a bar reviewer / lecturer in Taxation Law in several review centers. He is a former revenue attorney of the Bureau of Internal Revenue. He is also the former managing partner at The Law Firm of Cañero Manalo Mateo and Partners. Atty. Cañero obtained his law degree and graduated as class valedictorian from the Far Eastern University Institute of Law and his bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the same school.

Dean Cecilio D. Duka

Dean Cecilio Dioneda Duka, Ed.D. is a well-known lawyer, educator, and a prolific writer who has already authored 16 books and co-authored 3 books in the field of Labor Law, Constitutional Law, Public International Law, education, history, philosophy, and other disciplines. He is a much sought-after lecturer in the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for lawyers and Bar Review, Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and Civil Service review programs all over the country. He is a distinguished resource speaker in various seminars and conferences in the areas of law, education, and social sciences nationally and internationally.

He has held various teaching and administrative positions as dean, associate dean, and department chair in prestigious colleges and universities. Notably, he was appointed Dean of the College of Education of the Philippine Women’s University at the age of 26. He was Dean of the College of Education of University of Makati from 2018-2023. He is currently the Associate Dean of University of Makati School of Law  and concurrently the University’s legal counsel. 

Dean Sergio M. Ceniza

Dean Ceniza is an experienced legal practitioner, a law school dean, a longtime member of the academe, and a corporate official with significant exposure in commercial law, particularly in the areas of corporate law, banking and finance, insurance, investments, securities, regulatory compliance, and anti-money laundering and terrorist financing.

He is currently the Dean of Manila Law College and a member of the law faculty of De La Salle University, the University of the East-College of Law, the Lyceum of the Philippines- College of Law, the Far Eastern University-Institute of Law, and Manila Law College. He is a regular pre-bar reviewer in Mercantile/Commercial Law at various law schools and bar review centers. For the 2024 Bar Exams, he participated as a Member of the Panel of Experts organized by the University of the Philippines Bar Review Institute that finalized the Suggested Answers to the Bar Examinations on Commercial Law and Taxation Law. The author is also a regular Mandatory Continuing Legal Education lecturer at Chan Robles LawNet, Access, ACLex, and various IBP Chapters.

Atty. Modesto A. Ticman, Jr.

Aside from being a law practitioner since his admission to the Philippine Bar in 1991, Atty. Modesto Añasco Ticman, Jr. has been a professor of law in different law schools, bar reviewer, and a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) lecturer. As a member of the academe, he handles Criminal Law 1 and 2, Criminal Law Review, Special Penal Laws and Criminal Procedure. He has also authored a number of books and reviewers on these subjects.
